Life Decisions part 1
In the last few days, i've been stressing about quite a few things.
I don't want to be an indecisive person, but i've been thinking back and forth about the same topic of education after ord, for the past few days.
Finally, yesterday night, i made up my decision.
I'll apply for uni only on feb 2013.
Firstly, i wish to use the period between july'12 and feb'13 to re-adjust my personal life, settle up what i left off before enlistment, and rest and revise my studies w/o and stress.
Most entry-level jobs do not require a bachelor anyway.
and even if you have a bachelor, you still need at least 1 to 3 years' work exp in order to get the same lvl of job for bachelor.
so, i see no point in studying rite after ord.
plus, i have some other commitments, esp. in december, and maybe september, all in 2012.
in addition, most of my frens also decide to apply from nxt yr onwards, though some have decided to study rite after ns.
I really dun want to crumble under peer pressure.
and i really want to make my own decisions, even if other may say i have made a "wrong" decision, according to their own perceptions.
sometimes, i really wish to just make my own decisions, and shout out:
"I don't care what happens in the future, i'm clear of what i'm doing, i undserstand what i'm doing, and i'll accept and respond to anything to comes my way, like a sponge that could absorb everything."
i rmb a friend said before , no matter what life brings you, its all a part or element in the accumulation of experience"
"Confidence comes from within because I'm clear what I'm doing"
"No matter what you aim to achieve, start from understanding yourself"
arite, so no matter what happens in the future, i'll handle it like an adult.
be it good or bad, if i have to face it, i cannot run away from it.
"there are no mistakes in this world; "mistakes" makes you who you are right now."

What comes after NS?
Three months more til ORD.
NUS, NTU, no hope.
SMU, need three-hour "debate" interview. Hard to go in.
Left SIM. i knw got Kaplan, and othes, but i think i would prefer SIM, cos its recommended by friends, and most of my friends also consider gng there, and its one of the easier uni to go into.
Fees: $38K plus for full programme.
If i could be exempted, it would be $19k plus.
not enough money to go in..
so i think i'll work first after ord, maybe part-time, then if got enough money le, will go SIM.
ok, i've made my decision. now waiting for ord, saving money in meantime, and hope to reach my saving goal soon.

Missed But Not Forgotten
The news came so sudden and unprepared for me. I did'nt even knw how to feel, and what to think of it.
She's a good friend, cheerful, supportive, sociable, and one of the first few who accepted me into their group in poly year one.
We lost contact since year two, and my other group members can't seem to contact her either.
I just did not knw that the next time i got news of her, it would be in the newspapers.
I did not know what happened, and thus bought a newspaper as soon as i reached yishun, and saw the incident.
As my memories of her still stayed in year one when we were group mates, i did not know how to feel at the moment of knowledge of her demise.
It came as a jolt.
Though no tears came down, but fond memories of the times we spent as a group in year one come in bits and pieces into my mind.
Rest in peace, my friend.

Application starts
I have just finished the online application process of applying for an education in the Singapore Management University.
The next step would be to photocopy all necessary documents as well as prepare the application fee, both to be mailed to the university.
Before this, i did not have any clue whether to continue my education or to start work after NS.
In the end, i've decided to just apply for SMU first and see what unfolds.
If my application is not successful, then it is a cue for me to start working. If my application is successful, then i'll continue studying.
Actually its quite a simple decision, just apply first, and see what happens :)
Today's the first of jan 2012.

Back !
I'm back :)
touched down on 25 Nov, around 5am in terminal 2.
took cab home.. plus tax/surplus/dunno what its called, totalled $13.
life over there.. its not as tough as i think it is, except for one part.
Cannot say much as this is a public blog.
lets just say that i Survived the experience not just because of the training, but the camp catering as well.
anyway, its time to think about what i want to do after ord. I'm already in ORD Mood, and i do not give a care about guard duty, duty sig, stand by and/ or any other related stuff, even though i still have to do them.
6 more months..
On the 4th of June 2012,i'm gonna officially write down on a piece of paper what i really want to do or accomplish after these two years.
Just a rough idea:
- Reread my notes/textbook
- Apply for enrolment / job
- Travel to hong kong/ taiwan / any other country that i might just think up
- to be added on...
played Age of Empires online til so late i dun even knw its already 1plus am..
I actually bought the Greek Premium pack ...lol
Have been tryign to make as full use of my time as possible during these three "leave" from camp.
Alright, tml is saturday... two more days and tis back to the "olden days"...
next week will be a hectic week... if what i fear really arrived by then..
sigh.
6 more months, hope by then i'll have a list of what i want to accomplish.
